This is an MV of Hong Kong famous male singer - Eason Chan.

This piece of MV is highly recommended for the song (You may not understand the lyrics tho ...)  but also the sand art presented.

Someone may regard art as a pure expression only and may not include as graphic design.

However, I think art form is very important as it is a starting point to inspire the designer to incorporate the purpose in it which makes the art from become pragmatic.

In here, sand art is somehow a new way to express the message other than animation and movie. It cant be redone, corrected nor edited. All should be done at once. The process or the scene must be well-prepared n well-presented. In this MV, it mixed the idea of movie and sand-art, there is a man acting while the background is in progress to deliver the sad romance. The action of the man and the positioning of sand must synchronize and there is a huge difference between the sand plate and the screen shown on the MV. From these two points we can see the detailed thoughts and the intelligent design of the sand-artist which can explain why this MV is highly appreciated and also the sand art itself.

Besides, sand-art is similar with the Chinese art, they only differ from sand and ink. They both make use of a frame of mind to illustrate the picture which can evoke the audience's emotion or guide the them to think beyond.

What is the different between Art n Design? Art is to evoke the people's emotion while Design is to evoke the people's emotion and achieve its purpose. This MV is a good design because it evokes so many people's heart and bring them to HMV to buy the CDs.
