It comes from a group of talented Swiss designer who emerged in Russia, Germany and Netherland.
The Swiss style, as you can see, they all are simple, geometric and symbolic. Besides, the It also focuses on the keen attention to detail, precision, craft skills, system of education and technical training, a high standard of printing as well as a clear refined and inventive lettering and typography. It has exported worldwide in 1960s to become a new movement in design field, hence become an international style.
After the emergence of modernism and constructivism in 1930s, the Swiss Style can be defined as an authentic pursue for simplicity - the beauty in the underlines of a purpose, not beauty as a purpose in itself.
It resulted that a slogan "form follows function" arose and leaded to a Swiss Style devotion as a minimal elements in typography design and content layout as well as on textures and illustrations.
Here are some of the examples of The Swiss design.

Among all of the periods that I have learnt in class,
I like The Swiss Style very much.
It is kind of type as well as an image.
It is readable, playful and understandable.
It is its own character - simple which can drag us from those noisy designs.
That's why it can stand out and is punched in my mind.
